This policy explains how Horizon Road for Software and Technical Solutions collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data across our mobile applications, web applications, and related services.
This Privacy Policy is issued by Horizon Road for Software and Technical Solutions (“Horizon Road”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a software, cybersecurity, and AI solutions company headquartered in the Arab Republic of Egypt. We act as the data controller for personal data processed through our own applications.
This policy applies to:
We refer to all of the above collectively as the “Services”. Specific apps may present a supplementary notice describing features unique to that app; that notice should be read together with this policy.
The table below summarizes the personal data we may process. Details follow in the sections after it.
| Category | Examples | Why we process it |
|---|---|---|
| Account & contact data | Name, email address, username, password (stored hashed), profile details you add | Create and secure your account, authenticate you, provide support |
| Usage & diagnostic data | App interactions, feature usage, crash logs, performance metrics, device model, OS version, app version, language, approximate region from IP | Keep the app stable, diagnose crashes, improve features |
| Location data | Approximate or precise location (only with your device permission) | Deliver location-dependent features you request |
| Communications | Messages you send to support, feedback, correspondence | Respond to and resolve your requests |
| Payment data (future) | Processed by a third-party payment provider; we receive confirmation and limited transaction metadata, not full card numbers | Process purchases or subscriptions, if and when offered |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising or third-party targeted advertising.
When you create an account or use account-based features, you provide your name, email address, and a password. You may optionally add other profile information. When you contact support or send feedback, we collect the content of those communications and any details you choose to include.
When you use our apps, we and our analytics provider automatically collect usage and diagnostic data, including: actions taken in the app and features used; crash reports and error logs; performance and stability metrics; device type and model; operating system and app version; device language and settings; general technical identifiers; and approximate region derived from your IP address. This data helps us keep the Services reliable and improve them.
Certain features may use your device’s location (approximate and/or precise). On iOS, location is only accessed after you grant permission through the system prompt, and you can change or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings. We use location only to provide the location-dependent functionality you request and do not use it to build advertising profiles.
If you choose to sign in using a third-party identity provider (such as Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, where offered in the future), we receive basic profile information from that provider in accordance with your settings with them, such as your name and email address (or a relay email, if you use Apple’s private email relay).
We do not knowingly collect more data than is necessary to operate the relevant feature, and some apps may collect only a subset of the categories above.
We use personal data to:
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you without appropriate safeguards.
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or irreversibly anonymize it.
As a cybersecurity-focused company, we apply industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption of data in transit (TLS), encryption at rest where appropriate, hashed and salted password storage, access controls on a need-to-know basis, logging and monitoring, and regular review of our safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident in line with applicable law.
Horizon Road is based in Egypt, and our service providers may process data in other countries. Where personal data is transferred across borders — including from the EU/EEA or UK — we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms, so that your data remains protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:
EEA / UK (GDPR): You may exercise the rights above and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” — note that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Egypt (Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020): You have rights of access, correction, erasure, and to withdraw consent, consistent with that law.
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 16. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time:
Once verified, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), except where we are legally required to retain certain records. You may also withdraw consent or revoke device permissions (such as location) at any time through your device settings.
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it. Apps intended for children, where offered, will follow the additional requirements of the applicable app marketplace and children’s privacy laws.
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice within the Services. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
